Costa Rica Team Report
Hola! The five Amigos have returned from an exhilarating trip to Heredia, Costa Rica and we are all filled with awe because of the work God is doing in Central America. We cherished the quiet time with God, the evening group discussions, meeting dedicated missionaries and building relationships with the team and others. We each take home many lessons and challenges from this trip. We grew in friendship with each other and with missionaries we met in Costa Rica. The stories shared by each missionary were real life examples of what we studied this week; to “come see”, “follow me” and ”I will make you fishers of men.” God invites us all into relationship with Him. God’s plan will be fulfilled whether or not we participate, but we each have the awesome chance to be a part of it. Following the example of Jesus, the Multiplication Center’s main mission is to train Latin disciples to go out in their community and throughout the world to make disciples. Most of our time during the day was spent on rehabilitation of the Casa Grande, tiling offices and painting the entire exterior of the building. Evenings were spent hearing the inspiring stories of Latino missionaries. Many of these people have been called at a very young age and it was refreshing to see them answer and obey the call of our Lord. These warriors of Christ who have given up everything they had are now leaders of youth, dissolvers of gangs and serving in Africa and the Middle East. Wow!
It is truly amazing to see what God does with people who leave everything behind to follow Him. They go, leaving family and friends because God calls them and they listen and give their all. Each one of us has been impacted and even challenged to do some of the same. Being able to support our friends in Costa Rica with hard work, prayer and encouraging words has been a great blessing and privilege for us all. Our hope is that from our experience you
too may feel the excitement of God’s call and maybe ask Him - “Lord, what do you want from me?” God is doing amazing work throughout the world and has invited each one of us to “come see, follow me and be fishers of men."
