The Gathering [Jr. High]

Wednesday nights are the nights when the NSL:jh crew gathers together for craziness that has to be seen to be believed. We gather together at the Case's home from 6:30pm - 8:30pm each Wednesday night during the school year.

What To Expect

Each night is split into 3 parts.

Hang Out

When you show up we're usually hanging out and talking about what's going on in life, what we did last week, and stuff like that. We might bust out the Nintendo Wii or play some football in the backyard if it's nice out. It's a time to just be around people who are happy you're here.

Activities

It might be a challenge, a game, or something to help us think differently, but whatever it is you'll need to use your whole mind and work fast to finish. Most of the pictures you see come from some of the crazy things we do for activities, like plastering Goldfish crackers to someone's face using cake frosting! We're not into boring.

Think About It

One of the main things we've learned from reading the Bible is that God gave us brains to be able to understand new things, and he does that by letting us experience stuff and then see what we can learn from them. That's why we wrap up each night with an idea to chew on. Maybe we learn something new about forgiveness, or maybe we get a better perspective on what it would be like to live somewhere else. Whatever it is, the point is that we're always working to see thing more like Jesus does, and follow his example.

So that's the basic plan for every Wednesday night. We hope to see you on Wednesday!
